What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback, also known as EEG biofeedback, is an established innovative technology in other countries such as the USA and Canada. Neurofeedback is not dependent on words and or insight/processing. It is a research-supported brain training system that uses advanced non-linear mathematical algorithms to provide information to the self-regulating aspect of the brain in order to train the brain to function at its maximum potential. NeurOptimal® promotes and facilitate the brain’s natural tendency toward self-regulation, resilience, and flexibility and leave users relaxed, uplifted and energised. Neurofeedback is safe to use on children and people with emotional and physical health problems and older adults.

How does it work?

Neurofeedback measures and monitors brainwaves activity using real time electroencephalography (EEG) and feeds back to your brain when it’s not operating efficiently, with brief interruptions in the audio/visual stream. Neurofeedback uses complex mathematical algorithm to feed back this information to the brain. Sensors placed on the scalp pick up the brain electrical activity. The audio signal that the brain receives as part of the feedback enables the brain to make its own decisions about whether it needs to re-organise and correct for maladaptation. The brain uses the feedback to self-regulate and optimise its functioning.

…It’s great to be in the zone.

Similarly, to a mirror that encourages self-correction, neurofeedback is a mirror for your brain letting it know what it is doing. This is the way the central nervous system (CNS) normally reacts to change in its environment. The system communicates mathematically in the same way the CNS intrinsically talks to the body. When the brain functions at its optimal level, a variety of symptoms diminish. Neurofeedback helps you to “be in the zone”

.…Just Relax and let your brain do the work.

Neurofeedback is an innovative technology which harnesses the brain’s Neuroplasticity – its ability to change itself – in order to bring about improvement in a variety of symptoms which can interfere with life satisfaction. Research indicates that neurofeedback can improve cognitive performance. We have used neurofeedback extensively in clinical setting and evaluated the intervention which has demonstrated effectiveness with various symptoms including:

  • Sleep Disorders
  • Stress
  • Obsessive thinking
  • Insomnia and sleep disorders
  • Energy problems
  • Concentration
  • Anxiety
  • depression
  • conduct disorder
  • Addiction
  • specific learning disabilities or ADHD
  • Cognitive dysfunction
  • PTSD
